PURPOSE: An apparatus for removing the foreign substances of raw laver, and its method are provided to allow the foreign substances of raw laver to be removed automatically, thereby improving efficiency. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus(1) for removing the foreign substances of raw laver comprises a treatment tank(10) having inlet ports(11b,11c) and an outlet port(12); a foreign substances selector(20) which comprises a screen tube(50) having a plurality of penetration slits, a rotation shaft for removing the foreign substance caught the penetration slits, a foreign substance removing part(30) comprising a plurality of rotating blades penetrating the penetration slits, and a drive unit; and an air valve.
