PURPOSE: An image information processing method and an apparatus thereof are provided to predict area parts ofwhere the dark colored part and the white colored part of an eye are, thereby predicting the shape of the dark colored part at with high precision.;CONSTITUTION: A viewing direction calculator(29) calculates the viewing direction of a face image of an inputted person through a predetermined operation based on face direction measurement data of a face direction and the shape data of the dark colored part of an eye. The Sshape data of the dark colored part of the eye is outputted from an iris detecting unit(25).
