PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for restoring a deleted file in a digital image processing device are provided to update a list for deleted files to use storage features of a memory, thereby maximally restoring an image.;CONSTITUTION: A digital signal processor comprises the following units. A list generator(39-3) generates a restoration list about information of a deleted file. A determining unit(39-1) determines whether a newly generated file is stored in an area of a deleted file.
