PURPOSE: A digital camera and a control method for supporting an overriding mode are provided to preserve latest mage history obtained after overflow.;CONSTITUTION: A buffer memory(140) provisionally accumulates video frames outputted from a photographing element. A memory check unit(145) watches data overflow of the buffer memory. A digital signal processor(150) proceeds an overriding operation. The digital signal processor stores the latest image frame obtained after overflow of the buffer memory in the buffer memory.
