摘要

PURPOSE: A pre-distortion device for compensating the nonlinearly characteristic of a power amplifier and a method thereof are provided to maximize efficiency of the power amplifier by using the Volterra equation.;CONSTITUTION: An up converter unit up-converts an I(in phase)signal and Q(quadrature) signal of the base band outputted from a modem unit(101) to the radio frequency. A first pre-distortion unit generates a first pre-distortion signal. A second pre-distortion unit generates a second pre-distortion signal. A summer adds up the first pre-distortion signal and up-converted signal. A bias modulator unit(121) generates the bias signal by using the second pre-distortion signal. A power amplifier amplifies the totaled signal according to the bias signal. An envelopment processing unit(123) detects inter modulation distortion signals included in the amplified signal according to the third Volterra equation. The envelopment processing unit renews the first and the second gain value and the first and the second phase value by using inter modulation distortion signals.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2010
