PURPOSE: A method for designing a rotor and a stator and the rotor and the stator designed by the same are provided to reduce a design cost by optimizing the design based on the design variables of the rotor and the stator.;CONSTITUTION: A CAD(Computer Aided Design) file for designing a rotor and a stator is initialized. Data for a finite element modeling is set. The range of the design variables and the test frequencies are set by using a central composite design method. A torque ripple value is calculated by using a finite element analysis program. The design variable includes a slot open width(15), a slot depth(13), and a tooth width(14) of the stator and a magnetic flux barrier width(L1-L4) of the rotor.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2010
