PURPOSE: A tire for a heavy load is provided to prevent the punching abrasion of a middle rib and to enhance the wet performance.;CONSTITUTION: A tire(1) for a heavy load comprises a center rib(4a), a shoulder rib(4c) and a middle rib(4b). The center rib is extended from the tire equator. The shoulder rib is extended from the ground contact end. The middle rib is extended between the shoulder rib and the center rib. On the middle rib, closed siipes(6) are formed to be spaced from each other along the circumference of the tire. The sipe comprises an inner piece, a middle piece and an outer piece. An angle between the inner piece and the middle piece and an angle between the outer piece and the middle piece are over 90° but below 110°.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2010
