PURPOSE: A fabrication method of ultra-long zinc oxide(ZnO) nanowire arrays with tunable density is provided to increase the length of the zinc oxide nanowire arrays and to control the density of the zinc oxide nanowire arrays using a preheating treatment and a hydrothermal solution, which PEI is introduced to, without additional processes. CONSTITUTION: A method for manufacturing ultra-long zinc oxide(ZnO) nanowire arrays with tunable density comprises: a step of manufacturing a mixed aqueous solution having a concentration of 0.1M by dissolving zinc nitrate hexahydrate(Zn(NO_3)_26H_2O) and hexamethylenetetramine(HMT) in distilled water; a step of manufacturing a precursor aqueous solution by adding polyethylenimine(PEI) to the mixed aqueous solution; a preheating step of sealing the precursor aqueous solution and heating the precursor aqueous solution in an oven; dipping a glass substrate having a zinc oxide seed layer in the preheated precursor aqueous solution and sealing the solution; and growing nanowires by thermally heating the sealed precursor aqueous solution.
