PURPOSE: Red pepper paste containing tangerine extracts and a preparation method thereof are provided to enable conventional red pepper paste to contain bioactive substances of tangerines. CONSTITUTION: Red pepper paste contains a tangerine extract. The tangerine extract exhibits the sweetness of 55~65Brix, acidity of 5.0~5.5%, and moisture content of 40~55%. The amount of the tangerine extract is 3-12% of the red pepper paste by weight. The red pepper paste with tangerine extract additionally contains one or more functional ingredients selected from the group consisting of Portulaca oleracea extract, and Sorbus commixta extract. The amount of the functional ingredients is 1-5% of the red pepper paste by weight.
