The inventive article is a rigid airship without ballonet, but with an outer and an inner shell of approximately equal magnitude confection. It has two each on or multilocular, druckregulierbare filling spaces, a space enclosed by the outer shell filling chamber filled with ambient air and a space enclosed by the inner sheath filling space, filled with lifting gas. The Starr-airship has either a rigid internal structure (8) or a rigid keel (14). Pressure regulation of both filling spaces and adaptation to the respective ambient pressure by means of valve control by at least one outwardly directed from the outer filling chamber into the ambient air valve, thereby enlarge or reduce both filling spaces mutually.
