The method involves loading transport goods into a pressing device (12), where the transport goods are compressed by another pressing device (49) in a direction and are transported in compressed shape into a transport vehicle. The transport goods are compressed in another direction perpendicular to the former direction after loading into the pressing device and before pressing by the latter pressing device. An independent claim is also included for a pressing device for compressible transport goods.
