The method involves providing a tire sealing component, a tire pin (40) and a tool with a pneumatic cylinder (12), where the pin is connected with the tool by a thickened connecting part (41) arranged at an end of the pin. The tire sealing component is inserted into a pin hole (411) of the tire pin, and the tire pin is screwed into a sealed hole of a tire by the tool perpendicular to outer surface of the tire. The tire pin is unscrewed from the hole of the tire, where the tire sealing component remains at the hole of the tire. An independent claim is also included for a tool for sealing a tire, comprising a main body.
