The method comprises providing each of the coating wires on respective wire rollers, arranging the wire rollers in a magazine (6) replaceably connected to a coating device (1), feeding the coating wires from the magazine to a coating head (2) by a gear (9), feeding the coating wires to the gear by a conveyor and a wire processing unit (8), and interrupting a feed motion of the coating wires by the gear when one of the corresponding coating wires is arranged in the wire processing unit and when sensors that are assigned to the respective coating wires signalize wire end. The method comprises providing each of the coating wires on respective wire rollers, arranging the wire rollers in a magazine (6) replaceably connected to a coating device (1), feeding the coating wires from the magazine to a coating head (2) by a gear (9), feeding the coating wires to the gear by a conveyor and a wire processing unit (8), interrupting a feed motion of the coating wires by the gear when one of the corresponding coating wires is arranged in the wire processing unit and when sensors that are assigned to the respective coating wires signalize wire end or falling below of wire residual quantity, removing the magazine with the used wire rollers, connecting the magazine having the corresponding filled wire rollers to the coating device, bluntly welding the wire end remained in the wire processing unit with a wire start of the respective filled wire rollers, and providing the wire start and the wire end against each other by the gear and the conveyor. During signalizing, only one wire end of the coating wire to the respective other coating wire is cut by a wire cutting device provided in the wire processing unit. A welding point resulted by the welding is glowed to reach a low stress structure. The welding point is mechanically processed in the form of looping, matrix drawing or rolling before and/or after glowing to adapt the welding point to a diameter of the coating wire. One of the wire ends and/or one of the wire starts are linearly cut before the welding and at the same time the falling below of wire residual quantity is removed. The wire start and the wire end are aligned to each other before the welding. An independent claim is included for a coating device for thermal injection.
