Stationary loaded four-stroke internal-combustion engine i.e. diesel engine, operating method for commercial motor vehicle, involves actuating auxiliary valves during operation of engine such that auxiliary valves close paths
The method involves actuating inlet and outlet valves (17, 18) by a valve drive (16) such that the inlet valves are closed. Auxiliary valves (19) are arranged upstream to the inlet valves in fresh gas paths (9) when a normal operation of a stationary loaded four-stroke internal-combustion engine (1) i.e. diesel engine, is not influenced. The auxiliary valves are actuated during power operation of the engine with power requirement and/or load and/or speed increased in relation to the normal operation such that the auxiliary valves close the paths before closing the inlet valves. An independent claim is also included for an internal-combustion engine.
