The method involves operating a volumetrically operating pump device by actuating an electromagnet. The electromagnet is actuated again before closing a valve device opened by the previous pumping stroke. The electromagnet is operated by other pumping stroke of the pump device driven with a driving frequency which is higher than a natural frequency of the dosing module (13). The natural frequency of the dosing module is defined according to the specific equation relating the duration of pumping stroke and the closing time of valve device. Independent claims are included for the following: (1) a control device for operation of dosing module; and (2) a computer program stored in computer readable storage medium for operation of dosing module.
