Method for ablation of spherical segments within cornea of eyes, involves focusing two partial beams of laser beam on each other in point-shape so that energy of partial beams together sufficient to cause dissolution of collagen fibers
The method involves emitting a laser beam (8) on a half-mirror (6) by a laser system (5), and guiding and focusing two partial beams (9, 10) of the laser beam on each other in point-shape so that energy of the partial beams together sufficient to cause dissolution of collagen fibers in a defined time period. The partial beams are guided in concentric overlapping circle or spiral so that a desired spherical segment within a cornea (11) of eyes is dissolved. The partial beams are guided into glass fibers, and different laser types such as diode laser and excimer laser, are used and are pulsed.
