The module (1) has a sensor unit for directly measuring a shifting path of a movable piston of a separation clutch (3) and/or torque transmitted from the separation clutch to a shaft (6), where the hybrid module is arranged between a motor vehicle transmission and a combustion engine. An electric motor (2) and the separation clutch are connected together via the shaft. The sensor unit exhibits a receiver sensor for measurement of the magnetic field and the change of a transmitter sensor field. An independent claim is also included for a method for controlling a hybrid module.
