The pump i.e. high pressure two-cylinder pump (10), has a drive shaft (14) rotatably supported around an axis of rotation (A) in a pump housing (12) that comprises an eccentric cam section (16) to operate pump pistons (18-1, 18-2) in a radial direction during rotation of the shaft. Sliding bearing bushes are provided with hollow-cylindrical radial bearing sections and radially extending axial-bearing sections for supporting the drive shaft, where the bearing bushes are made of ceramic and sintered materials. The axial- sections are provided at an axial end of the radial bearing sections.
