The handle has a light source (1) i.e. LED, in a base part of the handle, and a light-exit opening (2) through which light emitted from the light source passes into the vehicle. The light-exit opening has a maximum area of 100 square mm. A light guide is arranged between the light source and the light exit opening. The light source is directly attached to the light-exit opening by a retaining device, where the opening represents a tube. A retainer jaw is flexible to receive and remove the light source during exchange of the light source in case of repair.
