The device (4) has a camera (7) detecting a function loss of light sources (2.1-2.n) or a light power change. An optical element (3) i.e. lens, including a boundary surface is arranged relative to the light sources and the camera such that a predetermined part (T) of a light (L) is directly detected. The light is emitted by the light sources, and strikes the camera. The boundary surface of the optical element is inclined-arranged at the light sources. The camera and light sources are arranged on a carrier element.
