The method involves plunging electrodes into acid contained in fruits, where the electrodes are made from different metals e.g. zinc and copper, where the metals are attached to a sensor. A ripening condition of the fruits is determined through a current or resistance measurement by using a multimeter. An independent claim is also included for a device for determining ripening condition of fruit.
