Retractable roof for a vehicle, and a movable arms, and elements of the roof opening

The roof has a front roof unit (2) and a rear roof unit (5). A part of the unit (2) is movable between a closed position isolating a passenger compartment from outside at the location of the unit (2), and an open position to create a communicating hatch via the roof. A tilting unit is placed on slides to upwardly move rear and front sliders of the unit (2) towards lateral slides, when the unit (2) is moved towards a rear position. Independent claims are also included for the following: (A) a convertible vehicle including a retractable roof (B) a method of operating a movable roof on a convertible vehicle.
