The system (1) has a master cylinder (4) connected to a brake pedal (2) and including a container filled with brake fluid. A hydraulic pump increases or creates brake pressure in a non-motorized disk brake element (5.1) and a motorized disk brake element (5.2), independent from an action on the pedal. The motorized disk brake element has electric piston systems for creating, increasing or decreasing brake torque of wheels to which the motorized disk brake elements are associated, independent from the action on the pedal and irrespective of speed of a motor vehicle. An independent claim is also included for a method for utilizing a brake system.
