The process comprises generating air in an enclosure by depression, and treating the polluted air in a pressure zone by photocatalysis before evacuating its outside atmospheric pressure. The photocatalysis is performed under UV irradiation by passing through a permeable support containing a photocatyzing agent. The foul-smelling air is obtained by solar drying of purification sludge and composting sludge. An independent claim is included for a construction for drying nauseous sludge.
