The anode (5) comprises a core (10) made of porous material for oxidizing hydrogen (H 2) into H +ions and producing H +ions and electrons, nanoparticles (20) distributed on a surface (11) and in the pores (12) of the core, and catalyst particles (30) for the reaction of reforming hydrocarbons by cracking located on the surface of the nanoparticles. The cracking reaction takes place at a temperature of 400-600[deg] C. The carbon sequestration takes place in the form of carbon filamentary structures. An independent claim is included for a process for the fabrication of the anode.
