The device has a main stop arranged at an extension of a central rail, and a secondary stop (25) made of rubber and arranged at an extension of a lower rail (15). The lower rail has a bottom wall fixed against a support element i.e. vehicle body (3), and upper and lower walls connected to each other by the bottom wall. A guiding unit i.e. carriage, allows displacement of a sliding side door from a closed position to an opened position. The secondary stop is projected outside extension arms (151) arranged longitudinally at extensions of the upper and lower walls of the lower rail.
