The system has a weight sensor (6) for measuring weight of a load (4) supported by a platform (3). A magnetic type position encoder (7) measures height of the platform with respect to a ground. A calculating and controlling unit compares data relative to the weight of the load transmitted by a weight sensor and another data relating to the height of the platform with pre-stored data relative to a maximum permissible load at a considered height. The calculating and controlling unit generates safety data for triggering alerts of sound and visual types according to comparison results.
