The device has adjacent second row seats (21) i.e. side seat, comprising a base (23) and a backrest (24) displaceable between a usage position and a folded position. The backrest is extended on the base that is extended vertically. A displacing unit displaces the seat in the folded position, when a storage location is located in front of another seat (22). The displacing unit comprises a sliding unit for sliding the seat (21) to the storage location. The sliding unit comprises a slide (44) connected to a motor vehicle and extended parallel to a front edge of the seats. An independent claim is also included for a motor vehicle.
