The seat arrangement has a base (11) tiltable towards front along a transversal pivoting axis (A). A backrest (12) pivots relative to a floor pan (23) along an axis (B) in a manner such that the backrest is displaced from a current use position to a retracted position oriented along a longitudinal plane. The base and the backrest are connected by a small connecting rod (31) that is disposed in a manner such that the pivot of the base and the backrest are synchronized. The pivoting of the backrest from its use position towards the retracted position tilts the base towards the front.
