The method involves performing immobilization of a pinion (18) and a wheel (20) with respect to each other inside a mold (60). A flexible material (22) i.e. elastomer material, is molded between the wheel and the pinion for joining the pinion and the wheel, where the flexible material has a young modulus five times lower than that of a material used to produce a shaft i.e. balancing shaft. An assembly of the pinion and the wheel is assembled on the shaft in a single stage by bracing. The wheel is radially extended around a periphery of the shaft.
