PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a practical high-temperature-tolerance inducing agent for plants easily applicable to agriculture field sites, and a method for easily inducing high-temperature-tolerance.;SOLUTION: The high-temperature-tolerance inducing agent for plants includes, as an active component, a compound represented by formula (I) (wherein R₁ represents hydrogen, hydroxy or 1-9C alkyl; and R₂ represents hydrogen or 1-5C alkyl).
