APPARATUS FOR SUPPORTING CREATION OF DESIGN KNOWLEDGE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve such a problem that when registering/revising design knowledge extracted from failure information in/to existing design knowledge, whether the extracted knowledge is new knowledge or existing knowledge cannot be determined and a design knowledge expansion process cannot be sufficiently supported.;SOLUTION: An apparatus for supporting creation of design knowledge includes: a similarity determination part which determines similarity between failure information and design knowledge from failure information of a product or service, design knowledge obtained from a design knowledge database and a thesaurus in which upper/lower relation and partial/overall relation between technical terms are defined; and two presentation/registration parts for existing design knowledge correction candidates and design knowledge new addition candidates, which respectively present similarity of the existing design knowledge in each failure information and failure information candidates of new design knowledge from the similarity and the importance of the failure information by respectively different calculation formulas, respectively register the additionally corrected design knowledge from the similarity of the existing design knowledge and the new design knowledge in a design knowledge database, and register a relation link between both the design knowledge data and the failure information in a design knowledge/failure information link database.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT
