PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method, apparatus, and system to enable remote computing devices to maintain secure persistent wireless network connections.;SOLUTION: A monitoring component may determine whether a user is logged in to the network. If the user is not logged in to the network, the monitoring module is allowed to retrieve and apply a persistent profile to the device. If the persistent profile is associated with a machine certificate, the machine certificate may be used to authenticate the device to the network, thus enabling the device to be securely connected to the wireless network, even if the user is not logged in.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
