PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrode structure of a steel stock heating device with a simple construction easy to uniformly heat a whole area having a wider width, and to provide a steel stock heating method.;SOLUTION: The steel stock heating device 10 includes a first electrode part 20 and a second electrode part 30 which are electrically connected with each other and are separately located in a longitudinal direction of a workpiece W made of steel stock, and the electrode structure is composed so that a part of the workpiece W between the first electrode part 20 and the second electrode part 30 is directly conductively heated by applying a voltage between the first electrode part 20 and the second electrode part 30. Either or both of the first electrode part and the second electrode part are equipped with electrode assemblies 21, 22, 31, 32 each having a contact face 62 capable of contacting a surface of the workpiece W, supporting parts 23, 25, 33, 35 supporting the electrode assemblies 21, 22, 31, 32 at their central parts of their rear side as rocking fulcrums capable of rocking, and pressing parts 27, 37 which make the surface of the workpiece W in plane contact with the contact surface 62 of the electrode assemblies 21, 22, 31, 32 by giving pressure to the supporting parts 23, 25, 33, 35 and the workpiece W in their approaching direction.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
