PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composite airfoil (12) which is suitable to be used in all kinds of composite airfoils including every blade and vane and besides is formed with an interface bonding by a low-temperature technique.;SOLUTION: The present composite airfoil (12) includes a leading edge protecting strip (28). The leading edge protecting strip (28) is manufactured by a method including a depositing operation of the protective strip (28) on the leading edge (16) of the composite airfoil (12) using a cold spray deposition system (30).;COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
