PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wire-cut electric discharge machining method for reducing streaks by reducing an amount of the drum shape, and a device for the same.;SOLUTION: Fig.(a) shows that an upper wire guide 11 is moved in the right direction in the figure relative to a workpiece upper-face 31, a lower wire guide 12 is moved in the left direction in the figure relative to a workpiece lower-face 32, and a wire electrode 4 is tilted to the right with respect to the machining direction. Fig.(b) shows that the upper wire guide 11 is moved in the left direction in the figure relative to the workpiece upper-face 31, the lower wire guide 12 is moved in the right direction in the figure relative to the workpiece lower-face 32, and the wire electrode 4 is tilted to the left with respect to the machining direction. The state of Figs.(a) and (b) are continuously and alternately continued with respect to the machining direction so as to tilt the wire electrode 4, thereby executing electric discharge machining of a workpiece 3.
