PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the increase in the heating value and power consumption of a whole data center.SOLUTION: A job assigning apparatus is connected to a plurality of arithmetic units for executing an input job, and configured to assign the job to each of the arithmetic units. The job assigning apparatus includes: a temperature collection means for collecting the peripheral temperature of the arithmetic units for every arithmetic unit; an airflow collection means for collecting the airflow of cold air supplied from an air supply/exhaust device mounted on an arithmetic unit for every arithmetic unit; a power consumption calculation means for calculating the power consumption of the arithmetic unit for every arithmetic unit based on the peripheral temperature collected by the temperature collection means and the airflow collected by the airflow collection means; an input destination selection means for selecting the arithmetic unit in the order of the smaller power consumption calculated by the power consumption calculation means as the input destination of the job; and a job inputting means for inputting the job to the input destination selected by the input destination selection means.
