PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To cope with a problem wherein a storage system is required to manage and maintain a relation between a physical port and a logical unit in the storage system, in order to manage a virtual port, in an information system.;SOLUTION: This storage system is constituted to couple the virtual port 810 to the plurality of physical ports 800. The storage system 100 manages, in response to a command from a computer, the relation between the physical port and the virtual port and a relation between the virtual port and a volume, by carrying out processes such as generation of the virtual port, assignment of a LU to the virtual port, movement of the virtual port between the physical ports and deletion of the virtual port.
