PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a poly(lactic acid)-based heat-resistant container, in which the container excellent in heat resistance and impact resistance can be manufactured by thermal molding in a shorter cycle than heretofore. PSOLUTION: A resin composition containing at least poly(lactic acid) (A), a block copolymer (B) of poly(lactic acid) and an aliphatic polyester and talc (C) is extruded to prepare a primary sheet 14 having relative crystallinity Xc of 40 to 55%. The relative crystallinity Xc of the master roll sheet is set to 60 to 70% by heating the primary sheet at 85 to 125C with a heating section 21 of a thermoforming machine 20. Successively the heated master roll sheet is subjected to vacuum molding and/or pressure molding with a molding section 22 of the thermoforming machine 20 and a molding is held in a metal mold in a heating state as it is, thereby the primary sheet is formed into a container shape and the relative crystallinity Xc of the obtained container is set to 75% or more.
