Network-based control of dual-access network

Mobile node receives access network specific signaling that is related to (IP) Internet Protocol flow. The mobile node determines whether to use any of the multiple access network to send the IP flow based on the access network specific signaling. The mobile node may interpret the access network specific signaling as a command to send the IP flow in the access network the access network specific signaling, and can be received from the access network. The mobile node may be to indicate that the IP flow is to be transmitted by the access network, to update the forwarding policy at the mobile node.
