Road wheels of a vehicle are provided with a steering shaft (7) for transmitting a steering force from a steering wheel (8). An electric power steering unit (15) (accessory) is disposed to a lateral side of the steering shaft (7). A clutch pedal (11) is disposed below the electric power steering unit (15) and pivotally mounted to a dash panel (5). The electric power steering unit (15) is provided with an anti-intrusion bracket (20) extending to the vicinity of the rear of the clutch pedal (11) so that the anti-intrusion bracket (20) can abut on the clutch pedal (11) pushed rearward in a collision.
