PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lithium manganese-based multiple oxide powder useful as a positive electrode active material for lithium secondary cell. PSOLUTION: The lithium manganese-based multiple oxide powder is obtained by reacting a lithium compound, a manganese compound and one or more kinds of transition metal compounds containing a metal element selected from Fe, Ni and Co with each other in water under pressure and heating the resultant lithium manganese-based multiple oxide at 300-700C and is expressed by general formula (1) : LiSBX/SB[MnSBY/SBMeSBZ/SB]OSBa/SB. In the formula, Me represents at least one or more kinds of metals selected from Fe, Ni and Co, (x) is 0.2x0.6, (y) is 0.4y0.6, (z) is 0.4z0.6 and (a) is 1.9a2.3. PCOPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
