PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high-purity silicone-modified olefinic wax, and a cosmetic agent comprising the silicone-modified olefinic wax.;SOLUTION: The olefinic wax (A) according to this invention (i) is a copolymer (A1) that is prepared by the copolymerization of ethylene and at least one diene or a copolymer (A2) that is prepared by the compolymerization of at least one olefin selected from ethylene and a 3-12C α-olefin and at least one dience, (ii) has a content of unsaturated group per one molecule of 0.5 to 3.0, (iii) has a density is 870 to 980 kg/m³, (iv) has a melting poind of 70 to 130°C, (v) has a number-average molecular weight of 400 to 5,000 and (vi) has a ratio of the weight-average molecular weight/the number-average molecular weight (Mw/Mn) of less than 4.0. The olefinic wax (A) is allowed to react with a hydrogen silicone, to prepare a silicone-modified olefinic wax of high purity.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
