PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dwelling current control system and a dwelling current control method, capable of preventing a load apparatus from performing an operation not intended by a dweller when the dweller is not in such as going out. PSOLUTION: A unit dwelling current measurement device 34 measures a current value passing through a main breaker 32. When the current value measured by the unit dwelling current measurement device 34 is not less than a threshold value defined for a rated current of the main breaker 32, a load controller 35 restricts the operation of the load apparatus 50 to bring it in a non-operation state. An operation section 70 of a display operation panel 40 sets automatic restoration for the load apparatus 50 as a control target and in an operation restricted state. If the load apparatus 50 is in an automatic recovery state when the current value measured by the unit dwelling current measurement device 34 becomes less than a recovery threshold value defined for the rated current of the main breaker 32, the load controller 35 releases the restriction on the load apparatus 50 as a control target and brings it in an operation state.
