PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device which can highly precisely detect not only non-delivering of liquid droplets from a liquid droplet delivering part of a liquid droplet delivering apparatus such as an inkjet recorder, but also twisted delivering and a delivering speed by a constitution that is simple, inexpensive and space-saving.;SOLUTION: In the device for detecting a droplet delivering state, a light emitting element 11 and a light receiving element 12 are arranged to be opposed to each other via a region where ink liquid droplets delivered from a recording head 8 pass. A throttle plate 13 with an aperture 13a formed therein, and a throttle plate 14 with apertures 14a and 14b formed to align keeping an interval in a delivering direction 18 are installed near the respective front faces. On the basis of a change of an output according to a change in the quantity of receiving light of the light receiving element 11 because of the fact that two luminous fluxes 15a and 15b as light from the light emitting element 11 brought into the light receiving element 12 through each aperture are blocked by the delivered ink liquid droplets, the non delivering, twisted delivering and delivering speed can be detected.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
