PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a moving image recording device and electronic camera device capable of recording moving images with uniform image quality until the termination of moving image photographing, and a moving image recording method. PSOLUTION: During a moving image recording operation, a frame rate and a bit rate are stored when a time period used for write-processing of image data for each frame on a recording medium is beyond the limit, exceeding the time period permitted at that time. When the processing time period is beyond the limit, the frame rate and bit rate are reduced in the next moving image recording by a predetermined ratio. For example, when the processing time period is beyond the limit, the frame rate and bit rate are reduced according to the excess ratio of the processing time period beyond the limit with respect to the permitted time period.
