PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a catalyst for simple isotactic polymerization of a vinyl monomer under a milder condition.;SOLUTION: A vinyl monomer is subjected to isotactic polymerization using a carried catalyst composition for isotactic polymerization of the vinyl monomer comprising at least one selected from the group consisting of metal compounds having one phosphine ligand per metal atom carried on an inorganic or organic carrier, or using a composition comprising a combination of the component above with a compound containing at least two selected from the group consisting of (a) at least one element selected from the group 1, 2, 11, 12, 13, 15 and 16 elements of the periodic table, (b) a 1-20C aliphatic hydrocarbon group and/or a 6-40C aromatic hydrocarbon group and (c) a perchlorate group.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
