PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an interaction system, an interaction method, and a computer program for allowing a third party to assist effectively a plurality of interactions without causing a sense of discomfort to the users.;SOLUTION: In an interaction system for performing automatic answering to a user's utterance, an interaction assistance apparatus is provided that is connected so as to transmit and receive of data. The interaction assistance apparatus performs the following operations of suspending a interaction when it is determined that the interaction is not established meaningfully; displaying a plurality of recognition candidates for an utterance received last in the interaction suspended by the interaction suspending means; receiving one recognition candidate selected from a plurality of the candidates; and sending out the selected candidate. When the one candidate is received from the interaction assistance apparatus, the interaction is resumed according to the interaction scenario information starting from the suspended portion.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
