Provide drinks derived from Barley characterized by markedly reduced levels of Dimethyl sulfide (DMS) and its precursor S - methyl - L - methionine (SMM) or lack of such compounds.Methods for producing Beverages above and Barley plants useful in the preparation of such drinks, as also other plant products prepared from such plants.The present application clarifies how to carry out procedures for improved production of Beverage with improved flavor Profiles and also promises significant Reductions in Thermal Energy input for the production of Beer.
