Method for accessing candidates of Hydrocarbon Source Rocks

摘要

A method for accessing a Candidate of Hydrocarbon Source Rocks using Seismic Data for a region of the Earth. The data were analyzed to determine the presence, the thickness and the lateral extension of candidate Source Rocks based on the knowledge of the Seismic behaviour of Hydrocarbon Source Rocks.It provides an estimate of the Organic content of the candidate Source Rocks from the Acoustic Impedance. Then provides an estimate of the potential of Hydrocarbon Generation of source Rocks of the candidate from the thickness and lateral extent of the candidate Source Rocks And the estimate of the Organic content.
